How to Plan Your Social Media Week
7 Days of Social Media Tips
SUNDAY - Perfect time to get a hold of your target audience as they unwind. Most people get super busy on Twitter and Facebook on Sundays as they post images of their weekends and check in on what their friends did.
Post a comic strip, photograph or something light hearted to help people relax and get in those extra viral shares on Sunday.
MONDAY - Beginning of the week. #RiseandGrind is a popular Twitter hashtag especially in the U.S. Work your way into the crowds heading back to work before they hit their desk and also during lunch time with a special or newsy styled post.
TUESDAY - Best day to try searching for new contacts and connecting with them in a new way. Surf through the “Trending Topics” on Twitter and find relevant ways you can begin conversations with new people. Don’t be preachy about your brand, simply respond to their statements. Listening is key.
WEDNESDAY - The toughest day of the week. Not yet Friday and Monday seems like ages ago. Wednesday is the best day to start a quiz, a new trending topic and a poll. People are so tired of work or the drudge, they’ll do anything to get away. YouTube videos relating to your brand are also good to share on Wednesdays.
THURSDAY - Thirsty Thursday. Start poking people with their plans for the weekend. Showcase some of your best products or services through a case study. Thursday is a work-rich day.
FRIDAY - Follow Friday on Twitter. Show love to everyone who you’ve found to be engaging during the week. Introducing new followers to your existing followers is a great way to begin your Friday.
SATURDAY - Perfect for posting images of products, people and things. Featuring quotations and music that goes along with your brand’s personality are also great ideas.
